Welcome to The Nature Classroom! Our goal here is to create a love and respect for all animals and the environment, starting with our littlest learners!
We are excited to bring nature classes to the southwest Florida area, and hope that you will join us in one of our engaging, hands-on programs where we will discover and explore through the most powerful tool for kids - play! Hi everyone! I'm Rachel, and I have been an environmental educator for 15+ years, teaching those of all ages all about nature, wildlife, and conservation. I previously have run education programs at zoos and nature centers, as well as taught in the formal school system. I started The Nature Classroom in 2020, as I was getting my son ready for Kindergarten during the pandemic. We called our pre-kindergarten routine "The Nature Classroom", and themed all of our play and learning activities around wildlife and the environment. And now I love that I can bring my background in wildlife education to our community, teaching and inspiring your little ones to love nature and animals.
